This unusual salad is made out of rice. Looks strange to people whose staple diet is rice. But still, this recipe is a sald and not fried rice. You can use long grain rice such as Basmati rice but if it is not available, any long grain rice will do.
How to Make Rice Salad
Ingredients
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 2 cup water
- 2 pcs chicken bouillon
- 1/2 cup salad oil
- 4 Tbsp. wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 cup ripe olives chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 1/4 cup pimento or parsley flakes
- 1 1/2 cup celery chopped
- 1/4 cup pickles chopped
Instructions
How to cook Rice Salad:
- Cook first 3 ingredients (rice, chicken bouillon, water) together by boiling until the water evaporates and the rice is cooked. Blend together next 6 ingredients.
- Place the next 5 ingredients in a large bowl. When rice is done, add to the large bowl.
- Add dressing and toss all together. Refrigerate overnight.
