Sultana bars are a good substitute for brownies or fudge. Instead of chocolate, sultanas (or raisins) and walnuts are used as flavoring in making these cake bars. You will be surprise how easy it is to make these. There are also very few ingredients used. All you need is eggs, flour, butter, sugar, baking soda, sultanas and walnuts. Mix them all together until well blended then pour it in a baking pan and bake.
If you ever wonder what sultanas are and why you can substitute it with raisins, sultanas are seedless pale green colored grapes made into sultana raisins and is similar to ordinary raisins made from red or purple seeded grapes. Actually sultanas are just a variety of grapes.
