A vegetarian meatballs dish made from ground vegemeat, boiled potatoes and bread crumbs. It doesn’t contain any meat and the vegemeat is used as a substitute for ground meat. But is contains egg as a binder which is I think is acceptable to lacto-ovo vegetarians.
To cook mock meat balls; Chop the vegemeat and the onions fine. Mix with the rice. Add the egg. slightly beaten, and the other ingredients, mixing lightly with a fork. Mold into balls or rolls. - 2 teaspoons fat
- 2 cups boiled rice or boiled potatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Bread crumbs
- Dash of pepper
- 1 egg
